-Richard, Hans & Ed Mallory held a Skype call yesterday to discuss
avionics. Action items resulted for Ed relating to the prototype booster
avionics & reseaching a transmitter/receiver for Craig's DTMF unit. Hans
will be investigating the possibility of interfacing the chute
controller to the R-DAS flight computer via the R-DAS serial port.
- Richard has made progress with regard to the application of the
ablative layer on the midbulkhead ( ablative serves as a thermal
insulator to minimize heat transfer to the fibreglass casing, and
consists of epoxy filled with glass microballoons). A special casting
mould was fabricated and a "vibrating table" (usually used for
propellant casting) used to coax the thick mixture into the narrow flow
channels:

- Cliff Bates has donated $100 to the Sugar Shot project and Dustin
Brown has contributed another $25. Thanks, gents for your generosity and
your continued faith in the Sugar Shot program....!
