Highlights of recent developments on the MiniSShot Project
-------------------------------------------------------------

-The News page of our website was updated on July 28th.

- Alberto Gassol has updated our Showcase page with many of the latest
photos and videos:
http://www.sugarshot.org/gallery/minisshot.html

- Ben Brockert has kindly shared some of the excellent photos that he
took of the July 25th event:

- Additional photos of the July 25th event:

smoke from the earlier burn:

- Rick Maschek has been tasked with motor teardown, cleanup and
inspection, and so far has made good progress. Inspection to date
suggests that the motor is in excellent condition, with no significant
anomalies discovered. Thermal label readings suggest that the motor
remained (externally) cool during firing and only after post-firing heat
soak did the labels have moderate temperature readings.

View of the fired nozzle convergent region after cleaning. Two areas,
180 degrees apart, have no ablator remaining. The metallic Nozzle Ring,
visible at these spots, shows no sign of heating, suggesting this was a
post-firing occurrence:

- A document summarizing the Propulsion Team debriefing session held the
day after the July 25th  motor firing has been uploaded to our
Documentation page:
http://www.sugarshot.org/documentation_old.html

- In support of the upcoming GHATR test flights of the Chute Contoller,
Chris King has ordered a new 38 mm motor and two H112 reloads.

- A Flight Readiness document has been created, which endeavours to list
all major tasks which need to be accomplished prior to being ready to
launch. Several tasks have, as yet, no owner. Resolving this situation
will be a top priority over the coming weeks.

- Silver Donor Denis Trontin, who lives in France, made a highly welcome
contribution of $150 to help celebrate our latest success.  Merci
beaucoup, Denis!
