Highlights of recent developments on the MiniSShot Project
-------------------------------------------------------------
- Peter Kocalka has fabricated a prototype patch antenna for the
telemetry system. The prototype is currently too large to fit our
rocket, however, Peter is endeavouring to reduce it to a practical size.

Peter also reports that the telemetry/main computer system is ready for
use, and that he has successfully tested communication over a distance
of 20km on the ground.
- A tentative arrangement of the various payload items in the MiniSShot
vehicle has been arrived upon. The real estate is tight, but everything
should fit.

- Richard has completed initial refurbishment of the motor casings.
Next, both casings will be hydro-statically proof pressure tested, a key
requirement to demonstrate structural integrity.
- Andre reports that he has successfully "reverse engineered" the
Motorola GMRS radio ear-plug which will allow for direct interfacing of
the DTMF tone generator circuit to the radio. Andre had also completed
the vibrations sensor logger firmware, and has written a draft version
of a manual for it.
