Highlights of recent developments on the MiniSShot Project

- Hans has updated the Chute Controller Manual to include a conceptual
overview of its purpose, design principles and firing logic. The updated
manual will be uploaded to the SS2S website in the near future.
- Richard received the three couplers fabricated by Monroe King. These
will be used to connect the motor to aft avionics section, and aft
avionics section to the recovery section (two mating couplers). The
coupler which connects the nosecone to the recovery section was received
earlier.

- Richard received the parcel sent by Rick Maschek containing the two
carbon fibre body tubes (recovery section and aft payload section)
fabricated by John Newman, as well as various hardware parts needed for
the vehicle assembly. The body tubes turned out very well and are very
lightweight (133 and 110 grams respectively) and rigid.

(the nosecone, coupler and body tube fit together like a hand in glove,
despite all three parts being fabricated by different contributors:
Roman Lev, Monroe King and John Newman, respectively).
- Rick Maschek has been doing an investigation as to which colours
should be used for the MiniSShot vehicle, to maximize visibility during
recovery in the desert.
